Evan will be outside the Inner Banks sailing on the Cloudmaker for the next 4 days. You can reach him via his voice mail. This is a vacation, so Evan asks that you contact him only if an emergency arises. I’m due to attend a conference in Houston, so I won’t be joining Evan on this jaunt.

Lucas and Phoebe will be getting married this summer. Currently, they are on the Silk Road—Lucas reports his research into ancient games is going well. The happy couple has not yet entered their names into the Birth Lottery. Evan and I are eagerly awaiting their decision. We’re hoping to get lucky a third time with a great-grandson. We seem to hit the jackpot every quarter of a century. Stay connected for further developments.

Derrick’s new boat has arrived, and his charter business is booming.

Just back from a hiking and rafting vacation in the Great Smoky Mountains. The Sallas joined us, and we had a fantastic time. When I have some time, I’ll be posting the photos of Evan winning the "Daredevil of the Blue Hills Award." I also have some wonderful images of Lucas and Laia Salla carving two extraordinary totem poles. Thanks to some professional tips from son Derrick, I caught a lot of fish, mostly bass and trout.

Evan and his boat the Cloudmaker took third place in the Inner Banks Regatta. He finished behind millionaire playboy Enrico Basta and Farley Penjanga. Many of you already know Farley Penjanga as the "Quizmaster."
